Displays at the Nicholson Library: Installing your Display

A guide for students to help them create a display in the Nicholson Library.

Preparing your Display

Upon acceptance of your display, you will communicate with the librarian to establish a display location and installation time. Display proposals must be submitted four weeks prior to the display installation date. The displays will be up to 2-6 weeks; the duration will be determined upon proposal acceptance. The schedule can vary based on student needs, space availability, and the semester calendar.

Students will get two (2) hours to set up their display. More time can be arranged with consultation with the librarian. At the beginning of the scheduled timeframe, a librarian will meet with the students to help them get display cases moved and deliver any library materials they requested.

Everything must be prepared before the display. That includes printing, cutting/trimming, mounting, fixing, etc.

Installing your Display

During the installation window, a librarian will be available to assist if something goes wrong or you determine you need additional library materials.

The librarian may also give suggestions on the design and information presented in the display.
